Maybelline One-By-One Volum' Express Mascara

Hey!

I am going to do a Summer Update after this, but I wanted to do a review right now(:

Just like the title says, I am doing a review on the Maybelline One-By-One Volum' Express mascara. If you're a makeup-y person like I am, then you will know that a lot of people are lovin' this mascara right now. I figured it would be appropriate to review it.

Pros;
~makes your lashes volumous, but doesn't add too much length, which I like because my lashes are naturally fairly long, so I look super freeeeeeaky if I add too much length to them.
~not super clumpy, so your lashes look nice and have more of a natural look.
~if you put it on your bottom lashes, they do NOT look too long either (which is what I struggle with a lot too). I wear this mascara on my top and bottom lashes a lot!
~it comes in regular and waterproof.
~the regular one comes off really well with eye makeup remover.

Cons;
~there is a slightly floral-ish scent (weird, I know!) and so if you don't like scents, this mascara might not be for you. (you can't smell the scent when you're wearing the mascara though!)
~it seems fairly liquidy, but I can still work with it.

Here are some pictures;

That's basically it!

I hope that you enjoyed this review!

xo, Destiny

P.S. Those are pictures that I took!
P.P.S. The pictures that I took of my eye was after I've worn the mascara all day.

CoverGirl Cheekers Blush

So, I haven't blogged on here FOREVER! (Bad Destiny!) But I am here now! I only have one day left of classes but then my exams are on the next two days (but I only go for my exams, not the whoooole day), so I will to blog more in the summer!(:
(NOTE: I actually wrote "I will try to blog more...." but then changed it because I want to be more commited to this blog!)

This is a review on CoverGirl Cheekers Blush, like the title says.

I like this blush a lot because it is a very pretty colour for summer. My colour is Classic Pink and the number is 110.

This is what it looks like on my finger (so you can get a better taste of the colour). It looks quite bright but it is really more of a lighter baby-ish pink.

Even though the colour looks very bright, I still posted it because it shows that this blush is very pigmented (meaning it shows up with lots of colour and its not too light).

These next two pictures are going to be pictures of my cheek before and my cheek after:

BEFORE:

As you can see, it still looks veeeeery bright pink but it really is more subtle. But at least you can really see the difference in the before and after photos!(:

Thank you for reading this blog post and I since my summer break is coming very veeeeeery soon, look forward to more reviews! :D

Would you be interested in me posting about things that I do in the summer? Let me know beloooow! I used to do that in my other blog, but now I can do it on here if you want.
Also, leave me some requests below!(:

~Destiny

P.S. All the pictures in this post were taken by me!(:

The Life of a Girl Named Kailee

Aloha!

Again this is not a review (sorry Sunny...), but I wanted to inform you of a new link in my "M U S T Check Out!" section. I added a new blog called "The Life of a Girl Named Kailee. Kailee is the girl who writes the blog, just in case you didn't guess that already. She is also a YouTube beauty guru who I am Obessed with. Notice the capital "O"? She is so amazing! She's gorgeous, super nice, funny and she is a looot like me! Allow me to explain:
1: I am gorgeous too....HA! Just kidding!
1(for real): She always rambles in her videos. I ramble too all the time...everyone (especially my family) always says "Destiny! STOP it and get to the POINT!" $; hehe....
2: She is really funny. I always have my friends laughing at what I say...I don't try to be funny on purpose, it's o-naturalle.
3: She is very crazy. <--THAT IS A GREAT THING! I think it would be boooring if all gurus were serious and calm.

That is all I can think of, but please check out Kailee's videos! I'll link all of the information here:

Her beauty channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/kaileemckenzie
Her Vlog channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/LittleMissKailee

Island Girl

Hey everyone(:

First let me say, you guys can scold me all you want about the fact that I left this blog to the last minute. I said that I was going to blog sometime this week..and I really just left that to the very, very, VERY last minute. But I'm here now, so it's all good!

This review is going to be on a book! This is my second book review...I don't know why I said that! ;P

The book is called Island Girl. The author is Sandra Byrd. Since it is getting closer and closer to the summer time (HURRAY!) I figured this would be an appropriate post. I could have waited until it was actually summer to make this, but I really want to make it now.

The main characters in this book are; Meg West and Tia Ramos. I'll just put in the back summary for you first.

~~~
Every summer thirteen-year-old Meg returns to the berry fields of her grandparents' Oregon farm. But this year everything is different. Back home, her mother is remarried with a new baby on the way, and Meg isn't sure where she fits in the family anymore. And now the comfortable familiarity of the farm has changed, too. There's a new girl, Tia, whose father has been hired to run the farm--a job Meg had hoped her army colenel dad would take over when he retires.
During this season of growth, Meg faces the challenges of figuring out what life, family and friendship are all about. And like the vines in her grandfather's fields, Meg strives to be a strong branch that bears sweet, plentiful fruit.
~~~

Island Girl is a really great book! My Uncle gave it to me quite a few years ago, and I love it so much! I think I like it that much because I am one for realistic fiction and that is what this book is. The back summary basically describes everything for you. The fact that Meg goes to her grandparents' berry farm every summer, her mom is remarried and she's going to have a baby (so that means that Meg has a stepdad), there is a new girl Tia, Meg's dad is an army colonel...and all that stuff!

This book is a Christian book, but I think that even if you are not a Christian, this book is still very good.

I really recommend this book because it is just super good! I read it at least once every year, maybe more. If you are a Christian (which I am), this book will definitely help you grow in your faith.

You could probably find it at your local library or a book store!

'Til next time! (I hope that will be sooner than later!),

P.S. Sunny, if you want to borrow this, feel free to ask!(;

Soul Surfer

Todaaaaaay's review is going to be on the movie Soul Surfer. Where I live, it just came out in theaters on Friday April 8th. I saw it yesterday with one of my best friends. The way that we decided to go see it is funny! I said, "Did you hear of the movie Soul Sufer?"
"Yah! I really want to see it!"
"Me too! We should see it together sometime."
We're both quiet for at least ten seconds...then my friends yells upstairs,
"MOOOOM! Can me and Destiny go see Soul Surfer? Just look in the paper for the time, and we'll go when its best for you!"
So we ended up going!(:

I can definitely say that this movie is the most inpirational movie I have ever seen! It is based on a true story about a girl named Bethany Hamilton who loves surfing and then she gets attacked by a 14-foot tiger shark when she is thirteen and loses her left arm. (In real life, the attack happened on Halloween day, 2003.)

The movie is basically about how despite the fact that everything seems soo terrible, she trusts in God to provide for her. In real life and in the movie, her and her whole family are Christians.

Carrie Underwood is also in the movie, playing the role of the Youth Pastor.

I don't want to ruin the movie but I will tell you that the shark attack part is kind of gory, but not too bad since the movie is rated PG. I'm sure that if it was any worse it would be rated PG-13. It doesn't really show the attack but it shows the shark jumping up and snapping and that part made me jump. Literally I was sitting there because I had read about how the real shark attack had happened to Bethany so I knew exactly when it was going to happen...but I jumped and my heart was pounding! I hate when you are excpecting something, but it still scares you! -.- AAAAAAAAANYway, I was saying that they showed the shark jumping up and snapping yadda yadda yadda...and then everyone was screaming and they showed a lot of blood in the water, so if you are squeamish of blood then close your eyes...because I think this movie is amazing so you shouldn't not go and see it because you don't like blood. I do not like blood but I didn't even close my eyes..I thought I would but I wasn't actually too scared and I didn't want to miss a moment of the movie. So the point of this paragraph is that the shark scene isn't as scary as some people may think it is.

In conclusion, I think that everyone should see this movie because it is just sooo inspirational and it made me think about the things that I take for granted and I have all of my limbs. Bethany (in the movie and in real life) overcame so much and she only has her right arm! I heard on YouTube that its a good thing that she's right-handed!

Also, I didn't know too much about Bethany Hamilton but then I heard about the movie and watched the trailer and a whole bunch of other stuff about Bethany, and then I saw the movie and I want to meet her sooo much because she is just such a huuuuuuuuuge inspiration and a wonderful girl! I actually have a video about her that I'm going to watch on YouTube loading in another tab! (;

Main Cast:
Bethany Hamilton(shark attack victim)-AnnaSophia Robb
Alana Blanchard(best friend)-Lorraine Nicholson
Tom Hamilton(dad)-Dennis Quaid
Cheri Hamilton(mom)-Helen Hunt
Noah Hamilton(brother)-Ross Thomas
Timmy Hamilton(brother)-Chris Brochu
Sarah Hill(Youth Pastor)-Carrie Underwood

P.S. On the trailer, soooo many people have commented saying that they loved the movie, so I'm not the only one! (;

Tangled!

Hey everyone!

Today I am going to review the movie "Tangled"! I totally loved that movie! I watched it with my friend yesterday and then today I was with some of my other friends and we were talking about how AMAZING it is! I noticed that a lot of people watched that movie yesterday but I think it is because it just recently came out on DVD. Anyway! Today I was with some friends and I bought some necklaces and in the bag they were getting all jumbled up and I took them out and said, "Oh no! They're tangled..." then I looked up and I was like "TANGLED! hahaha". Then we all laughed! :P

I really liked this movie because it was really cute and fun! I love animated movies. I like romance. This movie was animated and it had some romance! I don't like only animated movies, but they are still pretty cool!

I want to make this review without giving too much away...but Rapunzel has a cute little chameleon friend and I love how in some animated movies, the main character has a little animal friend! It's just really cute!

Tangled would be a great family movie, perfect for all ages! It's cute, witty, and funny. It does have a few slightly scary parts (not that scary for me though) but kids maybe six or seven and under might be a little frightened.

Check out this movie, you will not regret it!

'Til next time!

Softlips Nude Lustre

This review is going to be on Softlips Nude Lustre lipgloss. This is another product that I totally looove! I use it almost everyday.

This lipgloss is a nude colour (obviously) and if you don't know what that means, it means that its basically just a peach-y skin tone colour. It leaves your lips shiny and feeling moisturized. It has a light scent of citrus as well! :P

The applicator is like a tiny paint brush but it feels sooo soft as you're applying it.

If you apply Softlips mosturizing lip balm before putting on this lipgloss it makes application a lot smoother. I have Softlips Mosturizing lip balm in the scent French vanilla (let me say, it smells amazing and works well), but I'm sure you could apply any lip balm as a base!

I also bought this at Wal-Mart and again I am sure you can purchase it at any drugstore.

Destiny--(:

P.S. I'm feeling in a very blogg-y mood so I'm going to post at least one more blog today! ;D
P.P.S. Dakota Densmore gave me the idea to review a lip gloss!(:

CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus

Today's review is on CoverGirl perfect point plus eye-pencil. In case you haven't read (I think it was) my second blog post, I said that none of the companies are paying me to write these reviews. These are 100% honest opinions.

I totally loove this eyeliner! I use it every single day that I wear makeup which is basically....every single day!

This eyeliner applies soo smoothy. It isn't a gel-liner or liqui-liner but it kind of seems like it. It feels sort of like a very thin marker drawing on your waterline. Sometimes it wears off or fades a little but you just have to re-apply if that happens. It usually stays on very well.

A great feature about it is the fact that it is self-sharpening, meaning that you just twist it and the eyeliner raises itself!

The other great feature that I looove is the smudging tip on the other end. In a sense, it's kind of like a pencil and eraser! :P The smudging tip works well and if you are going for a smoky eye look, then this would definitely be the way to go. Also if you make little mistakes (like I tend to do) then you can erase them with the smudging tip.

I bought it at Wal-Mart and I am sure you can buy it at any drugstore!

Until next time!

Hannah Montana

Hello!
Sorry I haven't blogged for quite awhile. I've been quite busy lately, but I haven't forgotten about this blog at all.

Today's review was requested by Sunny Smith, who asked me to make a review on a show from Family Channel.

Now, I chose to review Hannah Montana because I have seen all of the episodes and I've basically grown up with this show. I really like this show because I find it quite relatable. When comparing it to something such as JONAS, I realized that not everyone has three super star brothers at their school. In fact, a lot of people probably don't have even ONE super star at their school. Now I know that Hannah Montana is famous, but in the show, when she is Miley Stewart, that's when she's more relatable. She has school issues, boy troubles, problems in her family and things of those sorts.

I think that in the show, Miley and Lilly have a very strong relationship as friends. They trust eachother and they sometimes have meaningful conversations together. Basically I think that even though they sometimes have their struggles together, they work through them, like real life friends do. Especially in the finale, they have a lot of things that they go through; a fight, tough descisions and more.
Do you see how this show is relateable?

I also like the fact that it is humourous. I think a lot of children like it because it's funny. If it was serious and heart-felt all the time, younger kids wouldn't be as interested in it. There are some funny lines and I have cracked up many a time while watching Hannah Montana.

I hope that you all enjoyed this review! Let me know your suggestions!(:

Maximum Ride

Hey!

For this review, I'll be reviewing the book series "Maximum Ride". I totally love this series! I had some friends who were obsessed with it first and they always talked about it. Finally I was like 'okokok...I think I should read this!' So I did and I am in LOVE with the series!

The series is all about six human-avian hybrids (98% human, 2% bird). The characters are: Max, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, The Gasman, and Angel. Seriously, don't ask why The Gasman's name is...The Gasman. If you really want to know, you'll read the books. ;P

The six kids basically live like you and me! ....haha just kidding! They face so many difficulties; people trying to kill them, people trying to catch them to do experiments on them like animals and more!

Their main enemies are these human-loupin hybrids (part human, part wolf creatures) and they are called Erasers. They are sooo ugly! My friend has one of the Maximum Ride Mangas and that's where I saw a picture of them! ew... /:

Let me just say, I am not the biggest fan of fantasy books such as these, but this series was definetly an exception! I fell in love with it!

My friend just got the seventh book and she's TORTURING me because she won't tell me anything that happens...but then again, I get to read it after her! I hope she'll be done it for tomorrow! (;

Destiny-- (:

P.S. If you really want to know why The Gasman has that name, shoot me an E-mail! (dee.jay.dee.123@hotmail.com) (:

Main Street

Hey Everyone!

This is my first review and I'm super excited! I'll be reviewing a book series called Main Street. I have the first, third and fourth books in the series and I lent the first one to my good friend Sunny and I wanted to review the series to inspire her to read it! (Yah, she hasn't read it yet!)

The series is about these two sisters, Flora and Ruby Northrop, and their parents died in a car accident and they have to go and live with their Grandmother, Min. Min lives in Camden Falls, Massachusetts. She lives in this house that is part of The Row Houses, which are basically eight houses that are attached and they look the same on the outside. It's pretty hard for Flora and Ruby at first, but they get used to it and they make good friends. Flora's best friends are: Olivia Walter and Nikki Sherman. Ruby spends a lot of time with them but her best friend is: Lacey Morris.

In the first book, Flora is eleven and Ruby is eight. I am not exactly sure how old they are in the ninth book but I think Flora is thirteen and Ruby is eleven..but Flora may be twelve but turning thirteen soon...I am not sure! :P

There are nine books that have been released as of now and they are called (in order):
Welcome to Camdem Falls
Needle and Thread
'Tis the Season
Best Friends
The Secret Book Club
September Surprises
Keeping Secrets
Special Delivery
Coming Apart

I think there are more books coming out, but I don't know the title(s).

I really like this series because personally, I like realistic fiction books that I can really relate to, and feel like I am one of the characters.

My favourite book in the series would have to be....hmm...uhh.....WOW! I really can't decide! They are all really good! I have read them all but I only own three of them (like I stated above). I'm going to buy the others (eventually)!

Comment!

Destiny--♥

P.S. I am NOT being paid for reviewing any of these things.
P.P.S. What should I review next? (;
